Why We Exist
With Nigeria’s increasing population estimated to reach 400 million by 2050, enhanced support from all partner is central for agricultural productivity through adaptation of new technologies and innovations towards ensuring food security and nutrition.

Considering the many challenges facing Nigeria’s agricultural sector and impacting on its productivity, Mr. & Miss Food Basket Ng as an Agricultural Pageantry project will address a good number of these challenges which include; poor land tenure system, low level of irrigation farming, climate change and land degradation, low technology, high production cost and poor distribution of inputs, limited financing, high post-harvest losses and poor access to markets with the establishment of a strategic chain of Argo-tourism facility across Benue State, Nigeria and Africa in the long-run, ensuring systems remain in place to checkmate high post-harvest losses by availing farm produces to a broad local and international market through strategic marketing and media communications.

Through the actions of our Queen and Agricultural Ambassadors, the local industry and talents will be strategically harnessed and channeled through the synergy of environmental management, pageantry, human capacity development, entertainment and media content generation towards securing required partnerships for the growth and development of the State from required internal and external bodies towards making Benue State home to African’s most strategic Agro-tourism facility by December 25, 2035.

The actualization of this vision above is a laudable initiative worth embarking on as it will establish a structured and strategic platform that will among other benefits avail the girl-child, as well as youths and teenagers across Africa a platform to access good and qualitative formal ICT enabled education on SUSTAINABLE GRASSROOTS AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT, while nurturing and supporting related entrepreneurial efforts.
